The “B” building or “the mixed-use (residential and business) building from the Program for the victims of the Homeland War” on Gornji Zamet in Rijeka does not belong to those kind of houses which would be published in architectural magazines. It is closer to a certain “B league” kind.
The budget was modest, one was aware of the kind of materials which would be allowed to be used. But, the “B” building is on the hill, standing above lower lying buildings, facing the sea and the south, with views of the city. Therefore, all the effort was directed to one goal, not to waste the given opportunity.
